#Nomnom: The comeback of Serafina

Of all the things in the world that lifts my mood, good food tops the list. I believe I am no exception when it comes to that. With the City of Joy crossing new highs in its gastronomic scene, Peace Pagodas, my synonym for restaurants aren’t to difficult to find. The concept of fine dining and global cuisine has been redefined and how! Speaking of which, Italian has always been a personal favourite. Serafina in the Quest Mall has always been my go-to place when it came to digging into some good Italian food. Their Tiramisu has always attracted me no different than a magnet.

This Italian joint had temporarily been shut for a renovation. But the good news is, it is open and how! The newly renovated space looks beautiful and to our delight they have made a few changes to the menu, which means, new varieties of great food. The Italian influenced brick house look of New ritzy Serafina with alfresco seating arrangements is as vibrant as cosy. The red-brick facade, roman arches & earthy colours with Serafina’s signature hand painted walls have bestowed the Italian dine den with a classy, warm & Italian rustic charm. The tipple zone has expanded with an open display of enviable wines & array of cocktails, devised in collaboration with Brandon Toborg, reserve Brand Ambassador of Diageo India.

I was recently invited to the renovated Serafina to experience the newer additions and the classic Tiramisu. The meal left me a truly happy woman!

The 4-course of heaven started with the INSALATA, a salad consisting of Grilled chicken breast, Kidney Beans, Roasted Corn, Iceberg Lettuce with mustard dressing. This was a rather healthy option and would be pne of my staples on non-Cheat-Meal days. Next we tried the appetizers which included the CROSTINI DI CHORIZO (slices of french baguette, gratinated with mozzarella & topped with slices of chorizo or ham) and POLPETTE DI MANZO PICCANTI (minced fillet Mignon dumplings with bell pepper in tangy sauce).

The Pizzas, Serafina’s thin crust beauties and the Pasta was a delight as always. But my favourite in the main course was the PESCE E MOSTARDA SALSA, Pan fried Bhetki with parsley mashed potato & creamy mustard sauce.

No visit to Serafina is ever complete without the Tiramisu and sinful it was. Apart from that, the Choco Hazelnut Creme Brulee won my heart!
