Leading a dual life, in my case that of a Systems Engineer and a Blogger has its own perks. While writing is absolutely therapeutic during days of intense stress, there are days when I stare blankly at my screen consumed by Writer’s Block. This post is a result of one such block, where however much I tried, I was not being able to place my ideas into fancy words. I wouldn’t be too hard on myself, given the fact that my job requires me to work for ten hours straight, not to mention the long travel hours.

So the question is, how do I unblock myself? The attempts include generous doses of The Chainsmokers, Sia, Major Lazer and our very own Bollywood (please don’t judge my taste in music) and when none of them work, I start addressing the problem itself. Sometimes even pushing myself to things I never do works like magic. So while I have been pushing myself to styles I have never tried before, I have been in a constant process of rediscovering myself.

People who know me well would be familiar with my love of everything feminine, be it the color pink or anything with frills or lace. Infact I myself was never quite acquainted with the rebellious side of me. My very first brush with my inner rebel was when I got my first tattoo. Never had I felt so liberated. This post is purely dedicated to that rebellious twin within me.

My entire outfit, minus the shoes has been picked up from Colaba Causeway. Usually a lover of fancy handbags, a studded backpack was quite a push. Also I wanted to stick to a single tone of color and hence teamed my black skirt with a black cropped top. The graphics on the top is indeed special especially because it perfectly describes who I am!

I am wearing:

Cropped Top, Skirt and Backpack: Colaba Causeway
Shoes: Catwalk

Concept and Styling : Pooja Dasgupta
Photography : Sourodip Ghosh

How do you unblock yourself? I would love to know in the comments below.
