Britannia Good Day Chunkies and a Lazy Cook’s Recipe

“Progress isn’t made by early risers. It’s made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something.”
-Robert A. Heinlein

Despite my love for good, experimental food, my culinary skills have always been rather sad and needed to go past my intensely lazy self. Ask me to eat something, I am more than ready, ask me to cook it, I’d rather have food from the refrigerator. However, my sweet tooth has always required special catering, hence, I have never really complained about making desserts. Being who I am, I look for the easiest ways to satiate my sweet tooth.

So it was one of those lazy summer afternoons when sudden cravings of something cold and sweet hit me. I almost became nostalgic about the fancy sundaes at Princep Ghat and wanted one then and there. As they say, necessity is the mother of inventions, it almost took the Masterchef out of the lazy me. The only promising ingredients present in the house was good old Vanilla Ice Cream and a packet of Britannia Good Day Chunkies. The Chunkies have made their way to my heart in recent times especially due to the melt in mouth chocolate chips in the crumbly cookies. Infact they are so different from regular cookies that I tend to call them CHUNKIES instead of the regular name. The lazy cook in me found a way to her cravings.

Talking of Masterchef, Britannia Good Day has come up with a very interesting contest where 10 lucky winners get a chance to meet the Masterchef Australia hosts in person on the 4th of June, 2016!
Here’s all you need to do:
Step 1: Make an amazing dish with Chunkies
Step 2: Upload a picture of the dish with a Chunkies pack on your FB/Twitter/Instagram account with #ChefsWithChunkies. Also, put up your recipe as a note on FB or on your blog and share the link in your entry.
For contest terms & conditions, visit them at

So here is the Lazy Cook’s recipe for #ChefsWithChunkies . I call this the Chunkies Sundae.

Vanilla ice cream : 2 scoops
Britannia Good Day Chunkies : 4-5

Crush 3 Chunkies and cover the base of an ice cream bowl with it. Add two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle more of the Chunkies dust on the ice cream. Garnish with a whole Chunkie and dig in.
