Much has been said about the benefits of healthy eating. With the increased health consciousness among the people, health food has almost become a trend, leading to health cafés in the city. Eat Good Food is one such place that caters to the healthy needs of the city. Opened by Hena Nafis, a nutritionist by profession, Eat Good Food ensures that eating out need not equate to unwanted inches to your waistline.
This quaint place on Tarak Dutta Road, Ballygunge gives you an old world charm as you enter. The menu card is quite an interesting one, divided into sections categorising the food into “Low Calories”, “Low Glycaemic” and “High Protein Low Carbs” along with the nutritional values, making it easier to make a choice. The menu includes a variety of grilled choices which I absolutely loved. They also have a good variety of healthy drinks, Musk Melon being my favourite. They have recently revamped the menu with a whole lot of new additions consisting of:
Spring Chicken Ballantine
Chinese Style Paneer with Soba Noodles
Pearl Barley Risotto with Broccoli, Asparagus and Mushroom
Baked Vegetable Lasagna
Eat Good Food Special Mixed Grill Platter
Grilled Fish with Dill Cream Cheese Sauce
Grilled Lamb Chops with Barbecue Sauce
The baked vegetable lasagne was absolutely brilliant and hard to believe that it was actually healthy. The Mixed Grill Platter is a must-try and highly recommended.
Rs 900 for 2
I would recommend this place if you looking for a place to eat out and yet stick to your healthy diet. Despite being high on the health quotient, the taste does not get compromised at all.
