The Bohemian Mind

“What a funny old world,
Thinking they could cage her,
& make her fear her future;
Apparently they didn’t know her well enough,
The cage, gave her wings to fly.”
Nikki Rowe

The world did not know that one could only cage her body, not her spirit. Those wings took her to places far and wild, that she had only dreamt of. She was fierce, most importantly, free. She did not follow rules and was led by her own principles. She was however nurturing in her own way; best known as a dreamer.

And if you may ask, what is it that gives me my invisible wings, Self-Sufficiency would be the answer. It gives me utmost pleasure to know that I have to depend on none, that I make my own team. I know if a part of me leaves the rest, another would grow to  replace what’s lost. The feeling of not having to depend on anyone gives me power that words fail to explain. It is this power that makes me a free-spirited soul, or in other words the Boho-Queen.

Talking of self-sufficiency, this is the first outfit post where I am my very own photographer. A lot of patience, a tripod, my camera’s self-timer and online inspiration supported this act. Though I believe there is a lot of room for improvement, I feel good about the start.
