Festive Outburst 1.2

The best part about Indian Festivals is everyone around the Nation coming together for a common celebration. Hence the Gujarati Navratri celebrations in Bengal does not come as a surprise.

The Navratri celebrations include an evening of Garba and Dandiya. They are two folk dance forms of Gujarat. Dandiya is done using two wooden sticks and coordinating beating the sticks with dance moves.

What I love about the Gujarati culture apart from the dance forms is the way they drape their Sari. Usually they wear a “lehenga” but many drape the sari in that style.

Enjoy the pictures and stay tuned for the next set.

Lot’s of love
