This post happens to be extremely special to me. Apart from the fact that today happens to be a Friday (which calls for a whole lot of planning for the weekend), I will be flaunting one of my Mum’s most beautiful creations. Mum has been quite enthusiastic since her young days about designing. Although Fashion Designing has never been her profession, her creativity and out-of-the box ideas always intrigued everyone around us. In fact she has been my personal stylist, ever since I was born (she used to design and stitch clothes of baby-me in her sewing machine). But her styling and designing history goes well beyond that. She tells me stories of the maxi-dresses with ruffles and frills she has designed and many things more. Some of my most beautiful Saris have been designed by her. Check them out here and here.
Brought up in Assam, my Mum has a lot of north-east inspiration in her creations. (Read about her Assam-inspired sari)
These pallazzos resulted out of one such inspirations. Pallazzos being my recent obsession, this piece couldn’t be more beautiful for me.
I styled this with my regular black vest and netted shrug and added a pop of brightness with the yellow clutch.
And here is a selfie with the Designer herself!
Pallazzo pants: Urmi
Black vest: Gangtok haul
Netted shrug: 109F
Yellow Clutch: New Market
Neck-piece: Street market haul
Let me sign off now. Will be back with my weekend update. Till then stay well and have a great weekend. Do not forget to leave your comments below.
