After an overwhelming response to my post on the Handicrafts Fair, here I am with yet another fair in Kolkata (no wonder they call it “City of Joy”). The International Mega Trade Fair has been one of the most awaited fairs of the year for me. Held at the Science City Grounds (13th December to 25th December 2013), this fair houses lifestyle products of different countries it partners with. The countries in focus were Thailand and Nepal, while there were others like Egypt, Ghana, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Turkey.
Without wasting any more time let me take you through a visual-tour of the fair.
I must say things are quite reasonably priced. The feather neck-pieces were priced around 150INR while the hair clips varied between 50INR to 300INR depending on the size and the type of flower. Stalls from Pakistan and Bangladesh included traditional saris of their countries, spices and other lifestyle products. Apart from the international stalls, there were a couple of Indian stalls housing handloom stuff.
And meet the blogger in the fair, posing as always!
Kolkatans, I would recommend paying this a visit. You wont regret it I’m sure! Others, I hope you enjoyed the visual tour. Time to sign off now. I’ll be back with another post. Till then, take care and stay gorgeous.
