West Bengal Handicrafts Fair

Ahh December! I waited for you so long. The cool breeze and the nip in the air, the early morning chill and the festive atmosphere. To add to the thrill, starts the fairs in the City of Joy, starting with the Handicrafts Fair (22nd November to 15th December). This fair, held at the Milan Mela Grounds, opposite Science City, brings together all the artisans of West Bengal portraying and selling their out of the world, beautiful pieces of talent (Read about my last year’s experience here).

Among the many pieces of art are lifestyle and fashion goods made of jute, cane, straw, canvas, wood and bamboo. Check out the pictures of the fair.

An that was me striking a pose in the fair. I ended up buying cane bags, straw mats, lots of dry flowers and thread lamps.

I’m wearing:

Kalamkari printed top: Aranya, Dakhinapan
Denims: Globus
Shades: Aldo

People of Kolkata, I would recommend visiting this fair at least once. I can bet you would not be disappointed. It’s time I sign off and get going to office. Keep tuned for another interesting post. Till then, keep that gorgeous smile on and stay stylish.

Lots of love.
