With the on-going wedding season, I have been totally inspired to browse through my jewelry collection, only to be amazed to find a good number of pretty “jhumkas”. Jhumkas look gorgeous with almost any sort of Indian or semi-Indian wear.
These jhumkas give a Rajasthani touch. I got these from Gariahat, Kolkata. You can see how I’ve incorporated them in one of my looks here.
The splash of red in these pair makes them my personal favorite. You can wear them with anything red or with a hint of red. I bought these from Gariahat.
These have the traditional Mina-Kaari work done on it. I bought these from New Market, Kolkata.
These are known as the “Kaan” or the ear-shaped jhumkas. These cover the entire ear and look great with Saris or Kurtas or even long Indian skirts.
The “jhumka within a ring” looks subtle but gorgeous. They are a great option for regular wear.
Get get that Indian touch this summer with a pair of jhumkas. Play with you “desi” look and get gorgeous.
For the final touch, keep that gorgeous smile on and stay stylish. Do not forget to leave your comments and suggestions.
